Larry White

WALKERTOWN - Larry Z. White, 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of July 11, 2022, at Summerstone Health and Rehabilitation Center of Kernersville. He was born May 14, 1945, in Forsyth County to the late Robert and Gladys White. Larry attended East Forsyth High School and was in the first graduating class in 1963. He married his high school sweetheart, Sue, in December of 1964. Larry spent the majority of his professional life at JFG Coffee Company and also enjoyed working in his latter years at Springbrook, Towergate, and Bethabara Apartment Communities.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Roberson, and brother-in-law, Reverend Bobby Roberson; as well as sister in law, Betty Hooker.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Sue James White of Walkertown; children, Christopher Blake White of Oak Island, Lori Comer (Alan) of Kernersville, and Jill Nelson (Shannon) of Walkertown; grandchildren, Ben, Gracie, and Matt Comer and Wil, Belle, and Noelle Nelson. He also is survived by a brother-in-law, Joe Hooker;  nieces and nephews, Steve Roberson, Sue Whiteheart, Stan Roberson, Molly Potts, and Tim Hooker; as well as, numerous great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Reverend Frank Shumate, Alan Comer, and Reverend Steve Roberson officiating. Burial to follow at Gardens of Memory of Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM preceding the funeral service at the church.  Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
