Mr. Larry Edward Westmoreland, 66, passed away, August 1, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 27, 1949 in Forsyth County to the late Lawrence Edward and Louise Frances Westmoreland. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972. He retired from R.J. Reynolds with 27 years of service. Larry is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are two sons, Kenny (Tracy) Westmoreland, Jody (Beth) Westmoreland; three grandchildren, Mason, Logan, and Ruby; one brother, Barry Westmoreland; one niece, Tiffany Westmoreland. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor R. Stephen Gilreth officiating. Interment will follow at Old Friends Union Cemetery in Pinnacle, N.C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
