Larry Willard

Larry Wayne Willard, 74, passed away at his home on April 4, 2022. Larry was born on October 27, 1947, to Everett Willard and Joan Wood Willard in Forsyth County. He worked as a tool and die maker, retiring from Grass America in Kernersville. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran, who was wounded while serving his country in Vietnam. His military service led to a lifelong bond with his fellow veterans. Larry devoted much of his time and resources to Healing Waters Project for wounded vets. Larry will be remembered as a good man, with a friendly nature and generous spirit. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Crumpler Willard; son, Damon Patrick Willard; and brother, Michael Willard. Surviving are his son, Steven Mathews (Terri), daughter, Keely Ray Willard; grandchildren, Jordan Thacker, Morgan Brewer, Brandi Taylor, and Elizabeth Mathews; great grandchildren, Christopher Mayberry and Bryan Taylor; brother, Jerry Dean Willard (Marilyn); cousins, Stephanie and Pat Street. and uncle, John Wood, Sr. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 8, 2022, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev.
