Larry Wayne Watson

Larry Wayne Watson, 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on May 31, 1949, to the late J.D. Watson and Lillie Robertson Watson. Larry was an incredibly hard worker and spent 45 years working for Gilbarco in Kernersville. After retiring in 2013, Larry found joy in the little things in life. He loved watching NASCAR, and you could often find him in front of the TV enjoying the races. Larry was very fond of animals, always feeding the birds, cats, dogs, and others. Most of all, Larry loved living. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Nancy Watson; sister, Peggy Downham; son, Paul Watson; 5 grandchildren, Jaxson, Jasmine, Ivy Isabell, and Isaiah; niece Michelle Tutton and nephew Tom Downham; Katie Mcdade, Courtney Tutton, Kaden Tutton; as well as many special family pets.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating. Interment will follow the service at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Funeral Home.
