Larry Eugene Walser

Mr. Larry Eugene Walser, 67, of Lexington passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1941 in Forsyth County to Lester and Gladys Hicks Walser. Mr. Walser was retired from E. I. Dupont in Charleston, S.C., where the family still has a home. He loved the outdoors and was an avid carp fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Delia ""Dee"" Evans Walser; a daughter, Serena Buckheister and husband, Trey; two grandsons, Jeremy Cox and wife, Jenny and Trey Cox; two brothers, Ronnie Walser and wife, Debbie, Donnie Walser and wife, Mary Ann. Funeral services will held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Arcadia United Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick Marion officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
