Kernersville – Mr. Larry Clyde Eller, Sr., 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on December 10, 1951, in Macon, Georgia to James Clifton Eller and Annie Lou Griffin Eller. Larry was a long-haul truck driver for over 50 years. More recently, he was employed by his good friend from Colfax, Brad Coleman. He loved his pickup trucks and Peterbilt Trucks. He enjoyed watching wrestling with his grandson, William Michael aka “Willy Wonka” and he was also a fan of the tv show, Yellowstone.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Charlie Eller; one sister, Patricia Ann Goodwin; and one brother-in-law, James G. Callahan “Daddy Jim”
He is survived by his children, Larry C. Eller, Jr. (wife, Jenni) of Kernersville and Reta Krystal Street of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, William Michael “Willy Wonka”, Karli Madyson “Baby Girl” and Aleiona Delilah “Baby”; one great grandchild, Brexton Edward “Cooter”; one sister, Jane Callahan; special nieces and nephew, Ginger Fowler (husband, Tony), Kelly Hawkins (husband, Jay), and Bobby Dale; and his favorite pest, Tina Lester.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the home of Larry and Jenni Eller. Hayworth-Miller is assisting the family.
