Larry Maurice Edwards, Sr.

Mr. Larry Maurice Edwards, Sr. 77 of Hamptonville, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born April 15, 1935 in Cabarrus County to the late Junius and Mildred Pennington Edwards. Mr. Edwards served in the US Army during the Korean War. Surviving are two daughters; Denise Thadathil of Haymarket, VA., and Teresa Pierce of Cary; two sons, Marty Edwards and Mike Edwards, both of Hamptonville and three grandsons, Brandon and Aaron Myers and Cory Edwards. A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Robert Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
