Larry Steve Cain, 71, a devoted loving Husband, Daddy and Papa passed away Monday May 22, 2023. Steve was born February 23, 1952, in Rural Hall, NC to the late Howard and Lena Cain. He attended Jefferson Church of Christ from a young age where he would become a lifelong member. He loved the Lord and understood the importance of serving and worshiping. Steve attended Atlanta Christian College where he would meet his Wife of 51 years, Mrs. Kathy Eastman Cain. In addition to his parents Steve was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry Cain and Terry Cain. Steve and the love of his life Kathy chose to make their home and raise their 3 children in King: Brian Cain (Apriel), Jeremy Cain (Shannon), Amy Snow (Josh). Steve was a very loving and proud Papa to his Grandchildren; Dylan, Lindsay, Annah, Tyler, Cody, Isabell, Natalie, and Kyle, and left behind one brother; Carl Ray Cain (Audrey). He was a very hard worker who loved working the farm, especially with his tractor. He passed on many great values of life lessons to his family, his most important being to teach and encourage his children the importance of loving God and making God part of their lives. Steve was so very proud of his family. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after more than 30 years of service. He was always willing to help anyone in need. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday May 25, 2023, at Jefferson Christian Church with Robin Zimmerman, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in the Jefferson Christian Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends in the church sanctuary following interment. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, in honor of Steve and his fight against dementia.
