Lank Lefate Estes

Mr. Lank Lefate Estes, 93, of Winston-Salem died peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center on Friday, September 2, 2011. Mr. Estes was born on October 10, 1917 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Leonard Boone and Lillie Estes. Mr. Estes retired from AT&T where he was supervisor of the tool and die department. He had a passion for farming and was a loving husband, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Johnsie Roten Estes; one brother, Walter James Estes; one sister, Mary Moore. Mr. Estes is survived by a sister, Mabel Estes Lee (Robert) and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem, NC with Rev. Kevin Conley officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside rites will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Boone, NC at 3:00 PM.
