Landonia Spradlin Davis

Landonia Spradlin Davis of Roanoke, Virginia, and more recently of Clemmons Village II in Clemmons, NC, passed away at the age of 89. She was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church in Roanoke and for many years was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Rebekahs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Samuel P. Davis, Sr.; and brothers-in-law, James Davis and William Davis. She is survived by her son, S. Price Davis, Jr. of Winston-Salem and his partner, Melvin Thomas; two sisters-in-law, Lourine Davis (James) of Salem, Virginia and Shirley Davis (William) of Fincastle, Virginia. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke with Pastor Glenn Giles officiating. Mr. Davis and Mr. Thomas will receive family and friends at their home in Winston-Salem on the following Sunday afternoon, February 24, from 2-4 p.m. Mr. Davis would like to express his thanks to the staff of Clemmons Village II and Hospice for their care over the last several years.

Mr. Davis and Mr. Thomas will receive family and friends at their home in Winston-Salem on Sunday afternoon, February 24,2013 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
