Mrs. Kristi Lynne Ketner Butcher, 66, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. Kristi was born in Forsyth County to the late C.L. Ketner and Peggy Mustin Ketner on April 30, 1956. Kristi was a strong and proud soldiers’ wife for over 31 years, she supported her husband through the US Marines and Army Reserves. Kristi had a passion for animals of all kinds, she never met a dog that didn't love her at first site. Kristi's other passion was lighthouses and the beach, it didn't matter what beach as long as she could hear the waves and enjoy the solitude and peace it brought her. She loved her husband and sons and their families unconditionally. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Roger Butcher. She is survived by her husband, John Butcher; sons, Randall Speer, wife Amy Speer, Jon Erik Butcher, and wife Emily Butcher; mother-in-law, Leah Butcher; grandchildren, Wesley James Butcher, Gracie Freeman, Wyatt Dougherty; sister, Stephanie Ketner; brother Keith Ketner, wife Lynn Ketner; niece, Mikenzie Atkins; nephew, Brian Ketner, wife Emily Ketner; daughters, Hailey and Savannah.
