Winston-Salem- Ms. Kristen “Krissy” Leigh Smith McNeal, 30, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019. She was born April 21, 1988 in Forsyth, County, the daughter of Kerry Smith, Sr. and Barbara Clark Smith. She attended Glenn High School and West Davidson Jr. High School. Krissy had worked at Ham’s (Kernersville) and Kentucky Fried Chicken (Clemmons), but later became a devoted homemaker and mother to her children. She enjoyed fishing, camping and country music. Krissy was a good ole’ country girl with a kid’s sense of humor; who loved her boys and her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven McNeal and her paternal grandmother, Betty Link. She is survived by her two sons, Kole and Kaden McNeal; her mother, Barbara Smith and companion, Jose Rocha of Winston-Salem; her father, Kerry Smith, Sr. of Winston-Salem; three brothers, Kerry Smith, Jr., Kelcey Smith and Kendall Smith all of Winston-Salem; three sisters, Kennedy Rocha, Kourtney Rocha and Kaitlyn Rocha all of Winston-Salem; her maternal grandmother, Mary Sapp of Church Hill, TN.; her paternal grandfather, David Link of Lexington; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a special aunt, Cathy. A Celebration of Krissy’s Life will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Crestview Baptist Church, 1975 Union Cross Rd., Winston-Salem, NC with Mr. Darrell Clark officiating.
