Ms. Kim Dalman Nicholas, 51, of Pfafftown, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Ms. Nicholas was born in Fairfield County, CT to Roy Leonard Dalman and Geneva Josie Goodwin on April 13, 1958. She grew up in Greenwich, CT and moved to North Carolina in 1990. Ms. Nicholas was an artist and true craftsman who owned her own business. She specialized in Native American Regalia Costume. Ms. Nicholas will be remembered as a talented artist and most importantly a wonderful mother. She is survived by her daughter, Kristina Harding and husband Matt of Winston-Salem; her parents Roy and Thomasina Dalman of Asheville; a brother Bob Dalman and wife Peggy of Asheville; two nieces Mari and Kira Dalman; and her beloved dog, Champsy. A memorial service will be conducted 3:00pm Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville at 1 Edwin Place, Asheville, NC 28801. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church reception hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Cancer Services, 3175 Maplewood Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
