Mrs. Kim Laverne Hargrave Frye, 65, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, October 21, 2022. She was born in Forsyth Co. on December 29, 1956, the daughter of the late William Ray Hargrave and Ruth Grace Caudle Hargrave. Kim was of the Baptist faith and had worked for Walmart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, who will be missed deeply by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Benson “John” Frye, Sr.; an infant daughter, Tracy Diane Frye; a sister, Marilyn Speaks; and two brothers, Tony Ray Hargrave and Randy Hargrave. She is survived by a son, Johnny Benson Frye, Jr. (Jody); five grandchildren, Kacey Mullen (Frank), Jesse Frye, Katelyn Frye, Kayla Frye and Kyndal Frye; a great-grandchild, Natalie Mullen and Hunter Mullen on the way; and one brother, Darin Hargrave. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Bannertown Baptist Church Cemetery in Germanton with Rev. Robert Lattimore officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
