Kermit Swain Parrish Jr., 91, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away into God’s graces on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Kermit was born in Forsyth County to the late Kermit Swain Parrish Sr. and Helen Crews Parrish on July 11, 1933.
He was a graduate of the Gray High School Class of 1952 and retired as a Civil Engineer with the city of Winston-Salem.
Kermit was loved by all and made friends wherever he went. He loved the beach, spending time with friends and his daughters, having a beer, watching the sunset over the ocean, and fireworks.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Hill Parrish; daughter, Lou Ann Parrish; sisters, Paige Parrish Inman, Betsy (Betty Jo) Parrish Sluder; and brother, Tommy Brian Parrish.
He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Swain Parrish and Debbie Parrish Ventrola; son-in-law, Mike Ventrola; granddaughter, Kelly Ventrola; and brother, George Edward Parrish Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Salem Moravian Graveyard God’s Acre with Pastor John Jackman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunnyside Ministry of the Moravian Church, 319 Haled St., Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or Trinity Moravian Church, 280 East Sprague St., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
