WARD Winston-Salem, Mr. Kenneth Moser Ward, 78, a resident of Springwood Care died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mr. Ward was born in Forsyth County on July 5, 1930 the son of the late Paul Lee and Bessie Moser Ward. He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel W. Ward in 1994. He was a member of Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem and had retired as a Mail Carrier with the U. S. Postal Service in 1990 with 30 years of service. Mr. Ward was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Surviving is a sister Martha Collins and husband James Alton of Winston-Salem, two nieces Gilda Watson and husband Johnny of Winston-Salem and Janie E. Russell and husband Robert of Charlotte, a nephew Mike Walker and wife Becky of Wallburg A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Pastor Nancy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Ward family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Hickory Ridge U.M.C.
