Kenneth Shore

Kenneth “Mark” Shore peacefully passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mark was born on May 4, 1957, in Yadkin County, NC. Prior to his retirement, Mark was a Credit and Housing Counselor for Financial Pathways of the Piedmont. He attended RJ Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem and UNC-Charlotte. After retirement, Mark enjoyed working in the yard, reading books, spending time with his family, going to Wake Forest Football games and watching the Boston Celtics. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Peggy Stanley, and his brother, Mitch Shore. He is survived by his wife, Dena Shore; two sons, Chase Shore, and Trey Shore; sisters, April Shepherd (Steve) and Melinda Backstrom. If you knew Mark, you know how genuinely kind he was and how he would do anything for anyone. The family would like to thank the Cardiac ICU team at Forsyth Medical Center for their incredible and compassionate care. A memorial service in Mark’s honor will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Home Moravian Church, 529 S. Church St., Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church parlor.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 7029 Albert Pick Road #200, Greensboro, NC 27409.
