Mr. Kenneth Conrad McKaughn, 81, of Winston-Salem, passed away at his residence on Friday, November 25, 2022.  Kenneth was born in Forsyth County on July 19, 1941, to the late John Harrison McKaughn and Lorraine Conrad McKaughn.  He was a man of faith and attended many churches throughout his life.  Kenneth was an active member of Olivet Moravian Church in his younger years, serving on the board and on numerous committees.  Kenneth attended Wake Forest University and graduated from High Point University.  He owned several businesses throughout his career including Air Cooled Engines, Inc. and most recently Office Furniture Warehouse in Winston-Salem.  Kenneth enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and Casper, the family dog.  In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Shepherd and son-in-law, Richard Renegar.  He is survived by his children, Kenzie McKaughn Cook, Tracy Renegar, and James Gregory McKaughn; grandchildren, Brandy Martin (Nick), Kyle Renegar (Taylor), Mason Cook, Logan Cook, and Ella Grace Cook; and great grandchildren, Briggs Martin, Brody Renegar, and Macy Renegar.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the Robert F. Miller Center at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with refreshments provided.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Olivet Moravian Church, 2205 Olivet Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
