Winston Salem - Kenneth Coman Manuel, 88, died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 3, 1924 in Warren Co., PA to the late Clayton Coman and Anna Sturdevant Manuel. Mr. Manuel was a member of Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church and retired from Family Sweets Candy Company after 24 years of service. Kenneth was an avid reader, loved Bluegrass music, and was very knowledgeable on many things. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Frogg and Vivian Warren. Surviving are his wife, Margie Weavil Manuel of the Bryan Center in Winston Salem; and his son, Gregg Coman Manuel of the home; brother-in-law, Richard Weavil and wife, Elizabeth; and one very dear friend, Wayne Gibbons. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Hogan and Elder Wayne Gibbons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
