Kenneth 'Ken' McKinley Mabe

Mr. Kenneth ""Ken"" McKinley Mabe 37, went to be with our Lord March 11, 2012. Ken was born in Forsyth County on June 27, 1974 to the late David and Wanda Rule Mabe. Ken was an extremely loving man, devoted to his Lord Jesus Christ, his wife and his two children. He had a passion for riding motorcycles, cooking and traveling. Ken had an amazing sense of humor and enjoyed learning new technology and studying the Bible. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. Ken is survived by his loving wife Hope Adkins-Mabe; two children Kyla Faith and McKinley ""Mac"" Ray; brother, Andy Mabe; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Shawn Bumpers, Pastor Nick Garringer, and Pastor Russ Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00 PM Thursday before the service. Burial will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association Western Carolina Chapter 3800 Shamrock Drive Charlotte, NC 28215 or the Kenneth Mabe Memorial Fund C/O Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, 305 West 4th St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
