Kenneth Edgar Lloyd, Sr.

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Kenneth Edgar Lloyd, Sr. 85, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Thomasville Medical Center. Kenneth was born on July 13, 1928 in Indiana to James A. and Dorothy Burns Lloyd. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Navy - Electrician's Mate 2nd Class. He retired from AT&T with over 38 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Lloyd and Roy Hildum; and one sister, Kathleen Lloyd.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Duggins Lloyd, of the home; two sons, Kenneth Edgar Lloyd, Jr. of Kernersville and Daniel Scott Lloyd (Maria) of Boca Raton, FL; one daughter, Linda Landau (Lad), three grandchildren; Ann Yates (James), Christy Bickford (Colin), and Jessica Lloyd Rothrock (Wibby), four great grandchildren; Joshua Yates, Olivia Yates, Jacob Bickford, and Sam Bickford, and a special canine friend, Tinkerbell.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 401 Oakhurst St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
