Kenneth Hugh Idol

KERNERSVILLE- Kenneth Hugh Idol, 75, a loving husband, father, grandfather and a true friend to his community, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1936 in Forsyth Co. to the late Joseph Bertie and Julia Hedgecock Idol. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Bob and Richard Idol; three sisters, Pauline Motsinger, Helen Weavil, Opal Walton; and son in-law, Keith Miller. Surviving are his wife, Shelby Driggers Idol of the home; two daughters, Debra Idol Atchison and husband, Michael, and Tammy Idol Miller; grandchildren, Brandi Smith, Joe Atchison, Ashley Young, and Kenneth Wallace; two sisters, Berta Jean Hayworth and Hazel D. Garner; and one brother, Don Idol. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor John Spry officiating. Burial will follow in Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church in High Point. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the funeral home.
