Mr. Kenneth Bryce Edwards, 82, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 25, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late John Leon and Chaney Chapel Edwards. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Edwards retired from R.J. Reynolds after 44 years of service. He was a member of Olivet Moravian Church for 56 years and served on the Board of Elders. He taught the Jr. High Sunday School Class and was a Scout Master for 6 years for Pack 919. Mr. Edwards was a bee keeper, and he also loved photography. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Elaine Edwards and two sisters, Carolyn Tilley and Eleanor Kiger. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Beck Edwards; one daughter, Julie Edwards Hauser (Steve) of Advance; three grandchildren, Jacqueline, Matthew and Michelle Hauser; one brother, Billy Edwards (Kathleen) and one sister, Wanda Stewart (Ellis) and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Olivet Moravian Church with Rev. Douglas Rights officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard.
