Kenneth Ray Carter

Mr. Kenneth Ray Carter, age 78 of Bermuda Run passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born on November 6, 1946, in Davie County to the late Clarence Ray Carter and Lillian Pauline Barnhardt Carter. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Jean Evans Carter. Surviving are three children, Amy Holland of Canton, Seth Carter and wife Jessie of Advance, and Daniel Carter of Mocksville; and four grandchildren, Grayson, Jackson, Sophie, and Mason. 

Mr. Carter’s passions in life were his faith in Jesus and his family. He missed Jean tremendously and longed to be reunited with her in Heaven. 

From an early age, growing up on the farm, he was fascinated by technology and music. Always the optimist, after a career as an engineer at Southern Bell, he retired early and launched his own computer services company by maxing out his credit card to build a computer, even though he didn’t have a buyer. He found his first buyer, and over the years, and numerous customers later, he, Jean, and their family made many memories building the business.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Fork Baptist Church in Mocksville with Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
