Winston-SalemMr. Kelvin Augusta Myers, 60, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a long, hard battle with cancer. He was born July 1, 1950 in Forsyth County to the late Ralph H. and Beulah Sink Myers. Mr. Myers retired from the Coca Cola Co. with 31 years of service. He loved fishing at the coast and enjoyed working on cars or anything mechanical. Mr. Myers was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Barbara Myers; children, Keith Myers, Tonya Mock, Rick Chrissley, Suzanne Holland, Frank Chrissley, Mary Holcomb, and Carolyn Treglia; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rebecca Dowell and Hazel Sink; also surviving are a niece, Dana and nephew, Randy. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Skip Furrow and Chaplain Robin D. Sides officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to thank Dr. Kim Kinsley and the staff at Hospice and to the staff at Forsyth Cancer Center for all the care and support given to Mr. Myers.
