Kellie Leigh Kirby, 52, of Winston- Salem, passed away on 3/31/2021 at The Beacon Place Hospice Center in Greensboro, North Carolina (NC). She was born October 22, 1968 in Winston-Salem, NC to Johnnie & Dottie Kirby. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.
She was survived by her mother Dottie Kirby of Winston Salem, a sister, Tracy Shaw (David) of Kernersville, and two nieces Kelly Robinson & Cassie Shaw.
Kellie attended several developmental programs during her childhood & early adulthood including Friends school on Broad Street in Winston Salem and the Murdoch development Center in central NC.
Although she did live with her sister occasionally and often as possible; Kellie was also involved with several group homes, most recently RHA Health Services in Greensboro, NC. Special thanks to Debra Foster and Lucy for their care and concern.
Kellie loved celebrating the holidays and her birthday. She also loved visiting her family, having special dinners and shopping for purses.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 5, 2021 in Crews United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Sealey officiating. The family will receive friends at Tracy’s home immediately following the graveside service.
