Keith Gray Sizemore

Mr. Keith Gray Sizemore, 66, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 16, 2023, surrounded by his family. Keith was born on March 11, 1957, in Surry County, NC, to the late John Sizemore and Elsie Bledsoe Sizemore.

A graduate of Surry Central High School, Keith graciously served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer RP2 from 1983-1987. He began his career as the Circulation/Distribution Manager of the Winston-Salem Journal news publication in 1987 and retired after 32 years.

From 1993-2017, Keith was a member of Pinedale Christian Church in Winston-Salem, NC, and was a faithful member of the adult choir. For the past six years, he attended Calvary Baptist Church, West Campus, in Advance, NC, where he made dear friends in the multi-generational Sunday School Class.

In his free time, he enjoyed playing guitar and dobro, singing, studying the bible, watching movies and television, and most importantly, spending time with his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Chuck Cannatelli.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 36 years, Deanna Fitzwater Sizemore; daughter, Kaitlin Sizemore (Andrew) Dancy; son, Kaleb Sizemore; brother Buddy (Theresa) Sizemore; mother-in-law, Nelma (Bill) Dehaven; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Cannatelli; and brothers-in-law Timothy (Rhonda) and Mark Fitzwater, along with cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

The family wishes to express gratitude to Drs. Caio Rocha Lima, Adrian Laxton, and Michael Chan at the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center for their wisdom and loving care of Keith during the past four years.

A funeral service will be held for Keith on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Calvary West at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Showalter officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
