Keith Edward Dancy, Sr.

Mr. Keith Edward Dancy, Sr., 62, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born March 1, 1950 in Wilkes County to Glenn and Bernice Mitchell Dancy. Mr. Dancy was proud of his military service. He served in Vietnam with 1st Artillery as a Spec 4, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a former scout master, Unit 722. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Sue Dancy of the home; four children, Keith Dancy, Jr., Douglas Rule (Sophie), Jason Dancy (Peche) and Jessica Rule; four grandchildren, Kalei Rule, Lillian Rule, Alyssa Dancy and Austin Dancy; a special niece, Terri Pacheco (Poncho) and their daughter, Nikki DuBois; a special friend, Stacey Brendle; two special dogs, Lucy and Molly; and two granddogs, Brewster and Truman. A private graveside service with military honors by the American Legion of King will be held.
