Mr. Keith Alan Banner, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born in Forsyth Co. on August 26, 1951, the son of the late Ned and Mable Martin Banner. Keith graduated from North Forsyth High School and then proudly served our country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He worked for Wachovia Bank for several years and retired from Miller Brewing Co. in Eden, NC, with 30 years of service. If anyone enjoyed being retired it was Keith, no clock and plenty of coffee was his idea of starting a day. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sandra Kennon Banner; his two daughters, Amanda Hoots (J.D.) and Kayla Berry (Nick); three grandchildren, Lilly Hoots, Will Hoots and Carter Berry; and a brother, Barry Banner (Beverly). Keith is also survived by three step-children, Shawna Lovelace (Keith), Brandon Hildebrandt (Malanie) and Jeremy Hildebrandt; and nine step-grandchildren, Chase, Cody, Braxton, Kaden, Brooklyn, McKenzie, Adalea, Jase, Luke and Cameron. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Charles Carver officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Monday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: American Legion Post #290 of King, 446 S. Main St., King, NC 27021.
