Ms. Kay Elizabeth Winslow Booze, 76, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born in Forsyth Co. on July 31, 1936 the daughter of the late Sidney Arthur Winslow and Susan Elizabeth Wilson Winslow. Kay graduated from Rural Hall High School in 1954 and graduated from Salem College in 1993. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem where she also retired with 29 years of service as the secretary of education. Kay spent her life loving and caring for everyone around her. She was a woman of deep faith who served as a cornerstone for her family and her church. Kay is survived by her four sons, David (Bess Leigh) Booze of Wilmington, DE, Bob (Jenny) Booze of Salem, VA, Andy (Nancy) Booze of Walnut Cove and Jon (Lori) Booze of Walnut Cove, 9 grandchildren, Raleigh (Leah) Booze of Philadelphia, PA, Caroline Booze of Wilmington, DE, Macey Booze of Salem, VA, Sidney Booze of Salem, VA, Devin (Sarah) Booze of Asheville, NC, Emily Booze, Audrey Booze, Sarah Booze and Erik Booze all of Walnut Cove and a brother, Sid Winslow of King. A memorial service celebrating Kay's life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Centenary United Methodist Church with Dr. Mark King officiating. A private interment will be conducted at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends following the service at the church following the service. The family requests that memorials be made to the Archive Room of Centenary United Methodist Church, Kingswood United Methodist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Winston-Salem.
