Kathy Shelton Taylor

Kathy Shelton Taylor, 68, of Kernersville, sadly passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1956, to the late Betty Shelton Hughes and Thomas Marion Shelton. Kathy was such a sweet, caring, and generous woman who enjoyed taking trips to the mountains and the beach as often as possible. She wouldn’t hesitate to help those in need and loved spending time with her family and friends. Kathy was member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. She loved her church family very much as well.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gracelynn Taylor; and a grandson, Stanley Shelton.

Kathy leaves behind a husband, Carl A. Taylor, Sr.; one son, Thomas Robinson; seven stepchildren, Carla Shelton, Carl Taylor, II, Stacey Taylor, William Taylor, Kayla Stultz, Shannon Johnston, and Roger Robinson, Jr.; one brother, Tony Shelton, Sr.; 27 grandchildren; and many more extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Carter Taylor, Sr. and Pastor Roger Robinson, Jr. Entombment will be at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum – Walkertown following the service. The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:45pm prior to the service.
