Kathy Gaye Hill 49, of Winston-Salem, died unexpectedly Friday January 23, 2009, at her home. She was born April 5, 1959 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was preceded in death by her great grandparents Bessie and Lester Hill; her maternal grandmother Ruby Sapp; paternal grandparents Dorfice and Ralph McBride, her beloved dogs Gizmo and Maggie. Survivors include her parents Larry and Nancy Hill; her brother and sister-in-law Scott and Jenny Hill; her niece Logan Hill and nephew Austin Hill; grandfather James Hill and her dogs she loved as her children, Missy, Bella, Baxter, and Cameron. Kathy's joy was in her family, friends, pets, and gardening. She took great pride in her niece and nephew. She loved flowers and tending to her plants. She loved horses and longed to ride them again as she did in her youth. We all picture her in heaven riding in a beautiful open field enjoying all her hearts desires. Kathy's pets were truly blessed to have her love and care; they are grieving deeply with us. She entertained all who knew her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her passing leaves us all with a large sense of loss. Kathy knew her Lord and our comfort is in knowing we will see her again one day. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 28 at 6:30 pm, at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway with Pastor Jon Hauser officiating. A visitation will follow the service. A Memorial service will also be held Saturday January 31 at 2pm at the Live Oak Christian Church in Beaufort, North Carolina with Pastor Bill Pollock officiating.
