Kathryn Yates Watkins

Mrs. Kathryn Regina Watkins, 70, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was known for her loving, kind, nurturing, and caring hardworking nature. Mrs. Watkins was often described as “everyone’s Mom.” She attended R.J. Reynold High School and later pursued a career as a server and hostess. She was a member of Hanes Baptist Church and loved worshiping on Sunday’s. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, word searches, and shopping. Kathryn is survived by her husband, Wade; three children, Kristina, Joshua, and Brandon; four grandchildren, Brittany, Isiah, Dalles, and Phoenix; three great-grandchildren, Sha’niya, Ty’layla, and Katālayla; and 5 siblings, Cheryl, Lynn, Mike, Roy, and Ricky. In addition to her mother, Nellie Hunt, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alyssa Thomas. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024, from 12:00 noon – 2:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Silas Creek Chapel.
