Kathryn Maxwell Morris

MORRIS Mrs. Kathryn Maxwell Morris, 85, of Mocksville passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. She was born April 23, 1923 in Cecil County, MD to Curtis Wilson and Bessie Henrietta Hansen Maxwell. Mrs. Morris was an active member of Fairview Moravian Church and a former elder. She was retired from Wake Forest University with 18 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Downing Morris, Jr. and a brother, James W. Maxwell. Surviving are three children, Kathie Reavis and husband James of Winston-Salem, Robert D. Morris III and wife Karen of Greensboro and Judi Davis and husband Michael of Mocksville; seven grandchildren, Mark and Chad Elliott, Adam Morris, Shannon Anderson, Carolyn Faircloth, Nick Davis and Lauren Davis Fossa and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 6:00 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Riddick Weber, Bishop Paul Lanier and Pastor Debbie Lanier officiating. The family will receive friends 4:00 to 6:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
