KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Kathryn Louise Madison Marlowe, 77, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Kathryn was born July 6, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late Harvey and Anne Lasiter Madison. Kathryn was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church and was a retired school teacher. She taught at Glenn High School, Southwest Guilford, Forsyth Technical Community College and Salem College. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Madison and a brother, John Madison. Surviving are her husband, William 'Bill' Marlowe; one daughter, Karen Hendrix (Josh) of Mocksville; one son, Craig Marlowe (Yvonne) of Lewisville; and two granddaughters, Shea Marlowe and Anna Hendrix. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2012 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with the Rev. Jim Saul officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 - 9:00 PM Sunday, October 14, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Oaklawn Baptist Church, 3500 Kernersville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
