Mrs. Kathryn Elizabeth Danner, 89, of Winston-Salem died Friday, July 11, 2014 at her home. She was born July 4, 1925 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Dave and Elizabeth Chapel Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Carl Lee Danner, Jr. Survivors include seven children, Mike Danner and wife Cheri of Port St. Joe, FL, Phillip Danner and wife Ann of Columbia, SC and Carol Danner Engstrom and husband, Dennis, Jeffery Danner and wife Cindy, Tony Danner and wife Paula, Alan Danner and wife Sarah and Lisa Danner Bowles all of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Rhonda Engstrom Clayton, Lee Danner, Katherine Danner Holtz, Caleb Danner, Olivia Danner and Sara Bowles; and three great grandchildren, Maggie Pope, Carley Bullman and Dennis Bullman. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
