Kathleen Burcham Sloop

SLOOP - RURAL HALL/SWANSBORO Mrs. Kathleen Burcham Sloop, 83, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Carolina House of Morehead City. She was born November 15, 1929 to the late Myrtle Emaline Royall Burcham and Walter E. Burcham. Mrs. Sloop was an elegant, witty and very loving Christian who like to read and garden. She was the apple of her husband's eye. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sloop was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hester Sloop. She is survived by her son, Roger B. Sloop and wife, Betty Sue; daughter, Amanda B. Sloop; two sisters, Camilla Foushee and Bee Chapman; two grandsons; and many other dear family and friends. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Crestview Memorial Park with the Rev. R. Sidney Lanier officiating.
