Kathleen Rose Posey

Kathleen Rose Posey, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 after a battle with cancer. She was born June 1, 1930 in Jonesville, NC to Marvin and Fannie Mae Rose. She attended North Elkin High School. Mrs. Posey was employed by Medical Park Hospital as a nurse and later as a private duty nurse. She was a lifelong member of Brookstown United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom Wilson and John Rose and a sister, Leona Fabian. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Robert M. Posey of the home; a son, Steve Posey also of the home. Especially dear to her were her two grandchildren, Jessica Wham (Bradley) and Justin Posey of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. R. Sid Lanier officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
