Kathleen Hammond McInvaille

--- Mrs. Kathleen Hammond McInvaille, 87, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 04, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Kathleen was born on October 29, 1927 in Iredell County, N.C. to Pete and Fleta West Hammond. She was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church where she served a lot of the homebound and the seniors. She was employed by AT&T in the medical department and prior to that she worked at Forsyth Medical Center as a labor and delivery nurse. She was an avid gardener and loved working with her flowers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McInvaille is preceded in death by her husband, Derrell McInvaille; and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Amy West, and husband Randy of Clemmons; two sisters, Patsy Greer of Greenville, SC, and Diann Sieling, and husband Ernie, of Alphretta, GA; and also a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Konnoak Baptist Church with Rev. John Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Forsyth County Meals on Wheels and Konnoak Baptist Church.
