Kathleen Adams Markward

KERNERSVILLE-Kathleen Adams Markward, 94, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born May 30, 1920 in Forsyth Co. to the late Robert Nelson and Sarah Elizabeth Gordon Adams.

Kathleen was a member of Trinity Moravian Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Markward; four sisters, Grace Cates, Jessie Smith, Virginia Smith, Mary Frances Bodford; two brothers, Bill Gordon Adams and an infant brother, R.N. Adams, Jr.

Surviving are her children, Jerry Wayne Weavil and wife, Judy, Bobbie Hayes and husband, Larry all of Kernersville; grandchildren, Jeff Weavil, Julie Easter and husband, Stan, Anthony Easter and wife, Sage and Amy Easter; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Crosson, Hagos, Kindah, Nick, Noah, Nate, and Angelica.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Salem Moravian Graveyard with Rev. John Jackman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
