KERNERSVILLE - Kathleen Ingram Holbrook Lewis, 80, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born January 29, 1928 in Forsyth Co. to the late Otha and Grace Jurney Ingram. Kathleen dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Henry Lewis, Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Marsha Honeycutt and husband Monty of Greensboro, and Lisa Porter and husband Tom of Belews Creek; one son, Don Holbrook and wife Claire of Hanover, VA; four grandchildren, Bryan Porter, Chris Holbrook and wife Lesley, Melanie Holbrook, and Will Holbrook; and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with the Rev. Paul Dean officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville and at other times at the home of Lisa and Tom Porter, 6921 Terrence Knoll Rd., Belews Creek, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit staff on the third floor of the Sticht Center for all the care and support that was given to Kathleen and her family.
