Mrs. Kathleen Conrad Coble, 96, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Brookstone Terrace. She was born October 27, 1918 in Forsyth County to the late Paul Elker and Ada Slater Conrad. Mrs. Coble graduated from Lewisville High School in 1936 and attended one year of school at Draughon's Business College. She worked at the Anchor Company for 10 years and for United Fund for five years. Mrs. Coble was a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church where she served as Director of Sr. Citizens for 22 years. She was also a member of the Women's group, circle activities, and taught Sunday school. Mrs. Coble was an expert seamstress and loved gardening. Preceding her in death was a son, Richard ""Rick"" Coble and a brother, Paul Odell Conrad. Surviving is her loving husband of 67 years, Ed Coble whom she married on September 12, 1947 and a son, James ""Jim"" Coble of Virginia Beach, VA. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 14, 2015 at New Philadelphia Moravian Church Graveyard with Dr. Worth Green officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be made to New Philadelphia Moravian Church, 4440 Country Club Rd.
