Katherine East Anderson

ANDERSON Mrs. Katherine East Anderson, 77, of Winston-Salem died Monday, July 19, 2010 at her home. She was born October 25, 1932 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Paul Samuel and Blanche Vernon East. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Old Town Baptist Church and was a graduate of Mineral Springs High School and Winslam Business College. She was an avid Mt. Tabor High School Girls Basketball Fan. Survivors include her husband, David Lee Anderson of the home; one son, Rickie Lee Anderson and wife, Terry of Winston-Salem; one great grandchild, Cole Blanks of Greensboro; one sister, Florence James and husband, Marvin of Rural Hall; one niece, Darlene Palmer and husband, Steve of Rural Hall; four great nieces, Amanda Thompson and husband, Michael and Angela Palmer of Winston-Salem and Stephanie Palmer and Amilee Leigh Palmer of Rural Hall. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Rick Spease officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
