Karen Booth Wills, age 77, of Kenersville, NC entered peacefully into her heavenly home on the morning of October 3, 2021. She was born June 21, 1944 in Saltville, VA to the late Sylvester and Cornelia Cahoon Booth. Majority of her life was spent in Virginia Beach, VA. She married her lifelong love, Timothy Wills who proceeded her in death, along with daughter, Tammy Leigh Sides, Grandson, Dallas Bennish Gorris and loving sisters Barbara (Bobbi) Forehand and Brenda Cribb.
Karen loved life and lived each day to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with family, dancing, singing karaoke, traveling, sewing and quilting. She spent most of her life working as an accountant and corporate controller where she retired from Hokushin in 2006 to spend more time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Becky Carter (Hector) of Kernersville, NC, son Christopher Gorris (LouAnn) of Kernesville and her grandchildren Jaden Carter and Daniel Gorris, who she loved with her whole heart. She is also survived by a sister, Cynthia Layne of Bloomingdale, GA, her very dear aunt, Helen French of Roanoke, VA along with numerous special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a host of adopted grandchildren, including Osvaldo Gonzalez, who lovingly referred to her as “Sharin’ Karen”.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Encompass Home Health and Trellis Supportive Care for the kind and compassionate care shown to both Karen and her family during these last few months. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care. The family will be planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.
