Karen Willard

Karen Leigh Rathbone Willard, born June 11, 1961 in Winston-Salem, NC and died March 23, 2023, will be remembered for her love of animals, nature, and family. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Willard, her mother, Marian Rathbone and her sister Linda Gordon. She is survived by her father, Claude Rathbone; three children, Stephanie Muschlitz, Loyd Gilbert and Mitchell Green; a sister, Claudette Tilley; a brother, Robert Rathbone; five grandchildren, Ekatarina Muschlitz, Makenzie Jackson, Bradley Green, Roman Gilbert and Ava Gilbert; two great grandchildren, Tobias Love and Cooper Love; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Karen's memory will be cherished and celebrated by those who knew and loved her. Her presence will be greatly missed in the lives of all who knew her. Visitation services will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Hayworth Miller, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC. A private memorial service will follow on Wednesday.
