Karen Sue Perry

Mrs. Karen Sue Calvert Perry, 64, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born June 7, 1951 the daughter of Willard Eugene Calvert and Steller D. Coffey Nichols. Mrs. Perry was a simple loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Eugene Calvert, her step-father, Billy Coffey, her husband, Delano Perry, a brother, Michael Calvert and a niece, Pamella Marshee Robinson. Mrs. Perry is survived by her mother, Steller D. Coffey Nichols of Duffield, VA, her step-mother, Shirley Calvert of KY, her three sons, Sonny Harp (Kristina) of W. Lafayette, IN, Fred Edward Barnes, Jr. of Sturgis, MI and Brian Barnes (Candace) of Rural Hall, six grandchildren, Allison, Abbagail, Justin, Cynthia, Jared and Tori and a special great-granddaughter, Penelope. She is also survived by her siblings, Brenda, Dale, Linda, Pam, Amy, Debbie and Darrel and several special nieces and nephews. A family gathering will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
