Karen Stender Huffman

LewisvilleKaren Stender Huffman, 69, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born May 4, 1944 in Forsyth County to the late C.R. and Mettie Dixon Stender. Karen was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, friend, and a great cook. Preceding her in death was a sister, Sherrell Thomason. Surviving is her husband of 43 years, G. William ""Huffy"" Huffman of the home; nephew, Bryan Scott (Kelly) of Clemmons; cousins and her group of friends from Hanes High School. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2013 at Northwest Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Hudson and Rev. Ellen Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Memorials may be made in her memory to Northwest Baptist Church, 407 Petree Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
