Mrs. June Marie Lyons Yarbrough of 5895 Phelps Circle, Winston-Salem, NC died January 26, 2010 at home after an extended illness. She was born March 29, 1930 to the late V.C. and Margaret Lyons. Mrs. Yarbrough was a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ford W. Yarbrough. She was the devoted mother of six children: Ford Michael Yarbrough and wife, Karen of Walnut Cove; Lloyd Daniel Yarbrough and wife, Alvita of Winston-Salem; Susan Yarbrough Barger and husband, Eddie of Greensboro; Rebecca Yarbrough Byerly and husband, Timothy of Lexington; Sharon Yarbrough Renigar and husband, Richard of Winston-Salem; and Joanne Yarbrough Male and husband, Ken of Washington DC. She was the grandmother of twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was sister to Linda Lyons Adams and husband, Alvin of Walkertown. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. John Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 27 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. ""She lived her life as a testimony to her Savior, Jesus Christ.""
