June Flinchum Miller

MILLER - Winston-Salem Mrs. June Flinchum Miller, 76, took her first breath in Heaven Tuesday, May 5, 2009. She spent her last hours on earth at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home of Winston-Salem. She was born June 4, 1932 in Surry County to the late Robert Arthur Flinchum and Winnie Belle Simmons Flinchum. June was a member of Marshall Baptist Church in Winston-Salem since 1955. She taught children's Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible School for many years. She enjoyed the fellowship with ""The Women's Bible Class."" She spent her life as a homemaker and a daycare director at Crestwood Baptist Church. She retired in the early nineties. June was preceded in death by her husband, Onyx Bynum Miller; two brothers, Roy Lester Flinchum and Robert Dalmer Flinchum; three sisters, Doris Elizabeth Nelson, Ona Mae Monday and Kay Francis Coleman. Surviving are one daughter, Lynn Miller Green and son-in-law, Robert Lorenzo Green; their children, Jackie, Robert and Alex. She is also survived by one son, Kevin Bynum Miller and daughter-in-law, Deborah Stack Miller; their children, Chelsie, Sydney and Victoria (Gracie). A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 8 at Marshall Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Holmes officiating. There will be a memorial service conducted at 5:00 P.M. at the church with a reception following in the fellowship hall. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
