June Painter Hutchins

Mrs. June Painter Hutchins, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia. She was born July 10, 1929 in Rockbridge County, VA to John McClung and Margaret Camper Painter. Mrs. Hutchins was a member of Ardmore Baptist Church, and was retired from N.C. Baptist Hospital with 29 years of service. She loved to travel and loved country music. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Hutchins; and a sister, Marjorie Manus. Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca Hutchins Holmes of Statesboro, GA; two grandchildren, John David Holmes (Diana) of Clemmons and Amy Marie Abernathy (Robert) of Smyrna, GA; four great grandchildren, Morgan and Connor Holmes, Reina and Evan Abernathy; two sisters, Mildred Painter of Winston-Salem and Rosalie Seagraves (Joseph) of Maryland; and one brother, Norman Painter (Frances) of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Christa Warise officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
